Hello!! I’m super grateful to be apart of the pitch night 2023 team. To cut to the chase, unfortunately in July I had a serious skiing accident and sustained multiple injuries including a spinal cord injury (SCI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Whilst being in hospital for 2 months and learning how to walk again, I had my amazing peers help include me as much as I was able. Though I’m still in recovery, the good news is I’ll still be able to come for part of the evening on the 17th! Before July, I was set on becoming a copywriter. I’ve grown up adoring words. I’ve been a poetry and songwriting geek all through-out high school and University. And don’t get me started on Balderdash! Every time I think of a clever phrase, definition or rhyme, I genuinely get a kick out of it. The copywriter rush I call it. Though I’m not looking to find a job currently given the long term recovery plan set in place, I am still keen to come meet everyone as I’m not going to let this setback get in the way of my dreams. See you there!
